Fatikchhari (Bengali: ফটিকছড়ি) is an Upazila of Chittagong District in the Division of Chittagong, Bangladesh.

Geography

Fatikchhari is located at . It has 65861 units of house hold and total area 773.55 km². The main river flowing on Fatikchhari Upazila is Dhurung. It is surrounded by Tripura ( India ) and Manikchhari Upazila on the north, Hathazari and Kawkhali(Rangamati) upazilas on the south, Ramgarh, manikchhari, Lakshmichhari and raozan upazilas on the east, mirsharai and Sitakunda upazilas on the west.

Demographics

As of the 1991 Bangladesh census, Fatikchhari has a population of 388013. Males constitute are 50.1% of the population, and females 49.9%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 182250. Fatikchhari has an average literacy rate of 32% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate.[1]

Fatikchhari has 20 Unions/Wards, 102 Mauzas/Mahallas, and 199 villages.
